Alexandra
Operations Manager
Hi, I’m Alex! I’m the operations manager of Barkside and have been working with dogs for more than 15 years. From fetch and pool time to exploring new spaces with the pups, I love creating a fun, safe place for dogs to just be dogs. I’ve also fostered and volunteered for over a decade, so this work is truly my passion. If I had to describe my days here in one word, it would be Madagascar — lively, unpredictable, and always full of heart.
Carson
Property Manager
Dogs have been a part of Carson’s life forever. His favorite part of the job is building bonds with each pup and seeing their excitement when they come back through the door. Carson has a special knack for connecting with anxious dogs—those who might be unsure at first often find comfort by his side.
Around Barkside, you’ll usually find him out in the field tossing a ball, running with the dogs, or just hanging out with the pup that’s glued to his hip that day. He also supports our property maintenance to help keep things running smoothly. Carson’s easygoing nature and genuine love for dogs make him a calming, reliable presence for both pups and their people.
Cole
Keeper of the Barkside Universe
Cole has been around animals on and off through out his life. He has experience with dogs, cats, rabbits and ferrets. Around Barkside, Cole is adventurous, compassionate, and experienced. He enjoys a good game of fetch but also loves leading dogs into new spaces and watching them explore, almost like discovering a new galaxy. His tip for pet parents is simple: relax—your pup is in good hands and will be cared for like part of our own pack.
Nicole
Nicole has been working with dogs for over five years, and she still loves the unconditional love and excitement they bring her every day. Growing up she always wanted a dog but never had one, so as soon as she was on her own, she made up for it with two big pups. At Barkside, Nicole is known for being adventurous, compassionate, and experienced. She has a soft spot for fetch but also loves taking dogs into new fields so they can explore like little adventurers discovering new worlds. Her advice for dog parents: don’t worry—we’ll treat your pup like our own.
Every great team has someone working quietly in the background, and for us, that’s our mystery member. Think of him as a guiding presence — a bit like the Force — always there, even if you don’t see him. Our mystery team member prefers to stay behind the scenes, but his presence is felt in everything we do. Much like a Jedi working in the shadows, he helps keep Barkside balanced and moving forward — unseen, but always part of the team
